He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie L. Smith and Etta M. Smith (Fields); his wife Verna M. Kidd; his sons, Timothy J. and William A. Smith; his siblings, James, Larry Smith and Reva Snell; and his grandchild Lynn Ann Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Martin Smith of Effingham, KS, Diana M. Stone of Topeka, KS, Debra K. Cell of Meriden, KS and Delores A. Lively (Charles) of Alpine, AL. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Effingham Union Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
