She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Reynolds and Alice Reynolds; her husband John M. Swearingen; and her children, Wanda I. Swearingen and Glen E. Swearingen.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Simmons of Springfield, John Swearingen (Debbie) of Edwardsville, KS, Juanita Rollins and Karen Drennon (Les) of Edwardsville, KS.; and her grandchildren, Steven Barnes, John Barnes, Tina Smythe, Alice Mumma, John Swearingen III, Howard Rollins II, Katrina Moseman, Bryce Drennon and Maddie Drennon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
