He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonzo Harris and Bertha Bryant Harris; and his siblings, David, Lonell, Herman, Thelma, Oralee, Berthella and Lillie.
He is survived by: his children, James Harris Jr. of Santa Barbara, California and Renee Harris of Hueneme, California; and his siblings, Fredie Harris of Kansas City, Kansas, Otis Harris of Kansas City, Kansas, Jessie Noel of Kansas City, Kansas, Earnest Harris of Kansas City, Kansas and Isaac Harris of Kansas City, Kansas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
