He was predeceased by: his son James Frost; and his siblings, David Chittwood and Sue Lubbock. He is survived by: his children, Jamie Porter (Jeremy) of Edwardsville, KS, Angie Petre of Syracuse, UT and Jimmy Petre; and his siblings, Bill Ingram, Gerald Ingram, Lou Behringer, Peggy Aguilar, Patsy Morales and Bertie Richwine.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Legion.
