He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Schmitz and Dulle. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Schmitz (Goin); his daughters, Janice Stark (Martin) of Piper, KS and Gretchen Gersema (Scott) of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandchildren, Mindy Stark, Matthew Stark and Steven Hicks; and his siblings, Anne Louise Basch, Jerry Schmitz, David Schmitz (Cindy), Linda Murray and Steve Schmitz (Mary Ann). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Memorial Contributions in honor of Roy Schmitz may be made to the St. Patrick's Catholic School.
