She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Sands and Ida Sophia Sands (Seifert); her daughter Cheryl DiAnn Sweetwood; and her brother Merle Sands. She is survived by: her spouse Ernest "Bud" Sweetwood; her daughter Barbara Sweetwood of Wellsville, KS; and her siblings, Ron Sands of Ottawa, KS, Robert Sands, Costa Mesa and Barbara Curry of Corvallis, OR. She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
