It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlin Artie Chanay of Edgerton, Kansas, born in Wellsville, Kansas, who passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Artie W. Chanay and Helen Clarissa Chanay (King); and his siblings, Keith Chanay, Merl Wayne Chanay and Leila Stovall.
He is survived by: his wife Betty S. Losher; his children, Martie Chanay, Marla D'Antoni (John) and Melissa A. Chanay; his stepchildren, Karla Gray, Kaye Sharp (Gary) and Michel Hermon (Jim); his siblings, Larry Chanay, Lorene Stockard and Mary Ryburn; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Chanay and Bernie Stovall. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville Historical Society or the Gardner Historical Museum.
