He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Patterson and Phyllis Patterson (Mitchell); his wife JoAnn Norris; and his brothers, James Patterson and Jerry Patterson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pamela Patterson of Dwight, Kimberly Hicks (Marshall) of North Carolina and Lisa McCoy of Abilene; his grandchildren, Anthony Patterson, Suzanne, Curtis Hicks, Timothy Moyer, Brandon Moyer and Alexis McCoy; his sisters, Mary Martin and Judy Stewart; and his pet Chico.
