She was predeceased by: her parents, William Thowe and Sophie Thowe; her sister Marlene Briscoe; her stepchildren, Ronald Gaston and Rita Falter; and also, Benardin Oberg and Blaine Gaston.
She is survived by: her spouse Bernardin Oberg; her sisters, Deloris Haller, Wilma Hafenstein, Evelyn Davis (Denny) and Arvilla Lloyd; her children, Carl Oberg, Brenda Maguire (Larry) and Karen Denzel (Brett); her stepchildren, Kenton Gaston (Hazel), Gary Gaston (Edna), Tommy Gaston (Joyce) and Phyllis McDiffitt; her grandchildren, Travis, Todd, Lance Maguire, Nicole Murillo (Jeammy) and Gavin Ratcliff (Maggie); and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Jackson Ratcliff and Sebastian Murillo. She is also survived by numerous step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
