She was predeceased by: her former husband Gary Graves; her husband Roy Penner; her parents, Burl McElwain and Inez McElwain; and her sister Barbara Kersh.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Stone (Troy) and Carrie Shores (Steve); her grandchildren, Angie Brady (Landon), Chris Stone (Shelly), Christopher Belford (Whitney), Kasi Adams, Jonathan Shores and Ailah Stone; her great grandchildren, Kaleb Klein, Drake Brady, Hayden Stone, Bearick Adams, Addisyn Stone, Braylen Belford, Mason Belford, Deacon Brady, Avery Brady, Fraya Adams and Ryder Shores; her great great grandchild Bowen Brady; and her brother John McElwain (Gail). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
