He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Flippo and Ella Flippo (Grisham); and his siblings, Odell Flippo, Ella Van Mantooth and Billie Jewel Lassiter.
He is survived by: his wife Lyla Flippo; and his children, Kathy Brown (Brad), Gail Luther (Paul), Jeff Flippo (Lan), Russel Flippo (Mary) and Dan Flippo (Angie). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions be made out to the Southern Baptist Convention Disaster Relief, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
