He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Lewis and Myrtle Lewis; and his spouse Jean James. He is survived by: his children, Galen Lewis (Mary) of Omaha, NE, Burke Lewis (Renee) of Newton and Luana Lewis of El Dorado; his grandsons, Colter Lewis of Omaha, NE and Tyler Crow of Omaha, NE; his brother Jim Lewis (Shirley) of Springfield, MO; and his sisters-in-law, Bobbie Moore (Kent) of Cunningham and Ruth Guy of Topeka. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
