He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Heffel; his children, Stacy, John Bonds of Broomfield, CO, Stephanie, David Cardinal of Salina, KS, Travis and Kristy Heffel of Wilson, KS; his siblings, Karen Kircher (Ken) of Indianola, NE and Larry Heffel (Marilyn) of Lenexa, KS; his grandchildren, Taylor, Tehya, Takotah, Ivorie, Solei, Raydio Bonds, Lydia and Brekyn Heffel; his stepgrandson David Cardinal Jr.; his great grandchildren, Aubree and Kinzlee Bonds; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, David III and Damir Cardinal.
