He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Dwayne Hicks and Celia Francis Taylor; and his siblings, David Adams, Hobert O. Hicks, Robert D. Hicks and Bonnie Sims.

He is survived by: his daughters, Shawn Hopkins (Sean) and Michelle Peterson (Brian); the mother of his children Sidney Hicks; and his brothers, Charlie Adams (Kristine), Karl Skinner and Donald L. Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Hospice of the Prairie or Seven Baskets Full Ministry in Bill's honor.
