He was predeceased by: his parents, Jay Peterson and Carol Peterson (Miles); his niece Bailee Peterson; his nephew Ty Gleason; his sister-in-law Keri Peterson; and his pet Bruce.

He is survived by: his wife Tammy Gleason; his daughter Camron; and his siblings, Curtis "Jody" Peterson (Lisa), Ernie Peterson (Charlotte), Paul Peterson (Danya), KayDee Carter (Dale) and Jayme Fankhouser (Ron).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Tom Peterson Memorial Scholarship in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
