He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin "Eddie" Hertel and Catherine Hertel (Kinkelaar); and his nephew Cade Denton Hertel. He is survived by: his wife Robin Fogleman; his children, Matthew Hertel of Spearville and Haley Pruitt (Jeremy) of Utah; his stepson Colby Mowry (Bobbi) of Missouri; his siblings, Marvin Hertel (Pamela) of Ensign, Dennis Hertel (Bev) of Dodge City and Vickie Pegram (Harry) of Ensign; and his grandchildren, Eli, Jasper, Weston, Tyler, Gracie, Breyton and Kaisley. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
