He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ronald and Clara Edna McAllister (Massey); his wife Barbara Ann Nichols; his son Mark McAllister; his grandson Aric Burton; and his siblings, Marceline Johanning, Zach, Paul "Pete" and Elton McAllister.
He is survived by: his children, Peggy "Caroline" Burton, Penny McAllister, Brenda Nietling (Duane) and Mont G. McAllister; and his brother Clifford McAllister. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Heart Association both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
