It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin L. Salmans of Dodge City, Kansas, born in Jetmore, Kansas, who passed away on September 12, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora Wyman and Hazel LaVina Salmans (Powell); his brothers, Francis, Gerald, James and Gayle; and his sister-in-law Dee Salmans.

He is survived by: his wife Glenna Stoskopf; his children, Gary Salmans (Ann), Shala Waldman (Mike) and Malon Harbert (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Scarlett Salmans, Arlo Salmans and Hayley Waldman; and his brother Wesley Salmans (Midge). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

The family encourages COVID precautions.
