She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Sangster and Lucy Marie Stevenson; her husband Ben Ewy; her siblings, Bob Sangster, Dick Sangster, Hud Sangster, Dennis Sangster, Betty Hester, Jennie Oller, Maggie Barrett and Lila Blasi; and her son-in-law Gary Coulter.
She is survived by: her close friend Richard Flax; her children, John Ewy (Glynis), Joe Ewy (Tonya), Debra Coulter, Dee Long (Ira), Sandra Stanley (Ronnie) and Susan Ewy; and her grandchildren, Jamie Eubanks (Ewy), Aaron Ewy, Joshua Dreiling, Ryan Anderson, Amy Tally (Anderson), Jodi Anderson, Garret Stanley, Jessa Kennedy (Stanley), Dustin Stanley, Mason Ewy, Britton Ogilvie (Ewy), Tyson Ratts, Lindsay Middleton (Sterkel) and Shelby Tagtmeyer (Sterkel). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Swaim Funeral Chapel (1901 6th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Protection Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dodge City Senior Center (2408 Central Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801).
