It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Claire Shipps of Dodge City, Kansas, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Wickes and Mildred Wickes (Hull); her husband Frank Dean Shipps; her brother John R. "Jack" Wickes II; and her nephew James Wickes.
She is survived by: her children, William Shipps, Scott Shipps and Jennifer Shipps; her grandchildren, Jessica Shipps, Markayla Shipps and Courtney Shipps; and her pet Ash.
The family suggests memorials to the Dodge City Animal Shelter in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
