It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Leroy Hessman of Dodge City, Kansas, who passed away on May 21, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hessman and Roberta Hessman (Herman); his grandson Drake Evert; and his siblings, Bob, Mike Hessman and Jan Nicholas.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sue Drake; his children, Gina Wilson (Mike), Tim (Heather Hessman), Kim (Jay Evert), Preston, Pete (Sally Hessman), Shane (Sheila Hessman), Durk Hessman, Andy (Rylene Hessman) and Matt (Amber Hessman); and his siblings, Linda, Neal Olney, Coeur, Tom Hessman and Dr. Bill Hessman. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the family in care of the Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
