It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clifton Pool (Dodge City, Kansas), born in Gilmer, Texas, who passed away on December 27, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton Pool and Zorene Pool (Byrd); his son James Nathan Pool; his uncle Dale Willis; and his brother B. J. Willis.
He is survived by: his daughter Angela Pool-Funai of Hays, Kansas; his sister Julia Zillmer of Houston, Texas; his grandsons, Aidan Funai, Jeremy Funai, Donovan Pool, Riley Pool and Ryan Funai; and his great grandchild Jasper James Pool.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), of which James was a proud lifetime member through Post 2427 in Tomball, Texas.
