He was predeceased by: his parents, John Askew and Jessie Mae Askew (Smith). He is survived by: his wife Janice Askew of Dodge City; his children, John Askew (Sherry) of Dodge City, L'Chelle Johnson (Jamie) of Wamego and Mike Askew (Wendi Foster) of Wamego; his grandchildren, Samantha Rumbaugh (Tanner), Robert Askew (Kelly), Rachel Askew, Devin Askew, Averi Foster, Jaran Johnson, Jacob Johnson, Jace Johnson, Jaden Johnson and Krista Scott; his great grandchildren, Emery Rumbaugh and Cayson Rumbaugh; his brother Dennis Askew of Frisco, Texas; his nephew Dennis Askew Jr.; and his niece Melissa Askew. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie or to the Alzheimer's Association of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
