He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hayes and Mabel Hayes (Healey); his brother Robert; his son Marty Ortiz; his grandchildren, Tabitha Blea, Ruban Ortiz and Matthew Ortiz; and his great grandchildren, Jemma Ortiz and Starlet Steele.
He is survived by: his spouse Donna Beth Lehr; and his children, Marion Hayes (Kathy), Robert Hayes (Sherie), Ronald Hayes (Paula), Victor Ortiz Jr. (Mary), Javier Ortiz (Hope), Ruban Ortiz (Rosalee), Mario Ortiz (Letitia), Martha Rubio (Steve), Renee Johnson, Lucinda Blea (Ronald), Tedi Ortiz-Ontiberos (Bobby) and Consuela Mitchell (Tony). He is also survived by 38 Grandchildren, 77 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren.
