It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Albert Shumard (Dodge City, Kansas), born in Jetmore, Kansas, who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry C. and Mary A. Shumard; and his son Donald W. Shumard (Pam) of Fowler. He is survived by: his wife Donna Shumard; his son David C. Shumard (Jane); his daughter-in-law Pam Shumard; and his grandsons, Adam Shumard (Jennifer), Davey Shumard (Amber), Tanner Zimmerman (Amber), Tallon Shumard (Ember) and Tate Shumard (Mikala). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Kansas Soldiers Home or Hospice of the Prairie in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
