He was predeceased by: his parents, Hung Van Hoang and Hue Thi Nguyen; and his children, Minh Hoang and Hang Hoang. He is survived by: his spouse Thom Tran; his child Thuy Hoang-Duong (John Duong); his grandchildren, Natalie Duong and Austin Duong; his children, Thao Hoang (Dung Mai), Linda Hoang-Lam (My Lam) and Hieu Hoang; his grandchildren, Ally Hoang and Tylor Hoang; and his brothers, Hoa Hoang (Thu Hoang) and Cuong Hoang.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of the Prairie or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
