It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Venters (Dodge City, Kansas), who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Madison and Catherine Venters (Hamm); and his siblings, Gene Venters, Beulah Sims and Irene Tyson.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Hornung; his children, Kent Venters (Belinda), Tammy Jordan (Sheldon), Kristi Lankford (Bobby) and Kayla Gleason (Scott); and his grandchildren, Lauren Godshall (David), Kim Jordan, Christian Venters, Caeden Venters, Jordan Lankford (Jennifer), Kylie Johnson (Matt), Brittany Peterson (Boyd), Kate Pfeifer (Charlie), Rylee Gleason and Cole Gleason. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ziegler Funeral Chapel - Dodge City (1901 N 14th Ave, Dodge City, KS 67801). A vigil service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the St. Nicholas Church (706 E 6th St, Kinsley, KS 67547). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
