It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blossom Darlene Schweitzer of Dodge City, Kansas, born in Hugoton, Kansas, who passed away on February 15, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gerrond and Eva Gerrond (Slemp); her husband Vern R Schweitzer; her siblings, Babe, James Gerrond and Bonnie Ipson; and her siblings-in-law, Ima Jean Gerrond, Roger Ipson and James Schmidt.
She is survived by: her sister Dossie; her children, Russel (Park), Park Schweitzer (Lori) of Holly, Colorado, Linda Frisbie (Terry) of Dodge City and Mendy Olivarez (Ron) of Dodge City; her grandsons, Derek, Darin (Christina), Kellen (Abby), Anthony (Sabrina) and Zachary; her great grandchildren, Charlie, Kynlee, Everly, Boston, Carson and Abraham; and her sister Evelyn Schmidt (Blossom). She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Memorials are suggested to Hodgeman County Health Center or Hospice of the Prairie in care of the funeral home.
