He is survived by: his son Michael (Jamie Penka); his grandchildren, Mackenzie (Jacob Monroe), Nathan (Caylin Penka), Trenton (Brittany Cantrell), Bryan (Haley Penka), Skyler Cantrell of Omaha, Quiton LaPointe of Manhattan, Mitchell (Chancie Penka) and Kaleb LaPointe of Garden City; and his great grandchildren, Khyler, Brenlei, Elena, Hagan, Lakelynn, Kathleen, Ellie, Luna and Koda.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Boomhower Funeral Home - Dighton (145 N Wichita Ave, Dighton, KS 67839). A rosary was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (322 S 1st St, Dighton, KS 67839). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church Hall (335 S 1st St, Dighton, KS 67839). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (322 S 1st St, Dighton, KS 67839).
