It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wonder Johnson of Dexter, Kansas, born in Claremore, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 1, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Palmer and Mary Palmer (Trook); her son Daniel "Lee" Johnson; her children-in-law, Jane Johnson, Mike Knight and Kent Whitmore; and her siblings, Archie Palmer, Floyd Palmer, Helen Heilig and Ina Miller.
She is survived by: her former husband Paul Davis; her husband Cecil Johnson; and her daughters, Cecelia Whitmore of Winfield, Jo Williams (Leon) of Dexter, Gay Thompson (Craig) of Winfield and Cindy Johnson of Kingston, AR. She is also survived by her 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Joy's name for Harry Hynes Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
