She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Piper and Mary Piper; and her sister Wilma Mabel Thompson. She is survived by: her husband Luther James Gaskell; her children, Barbara Kay Parker (Daniel Kent Gaskell) of Wichita and Dan (Cindy); her grandchildren, Tony Parker of Kansas, Jason Phillips (Heather) of Minnesota, Brenda Perdue of Kentucky, Candace Showalter (Justin) of Kansas, Kat Phipps of Kansas, Candace Carlson (Kevin) of California and Chelsea Reiswig (Jason) of Kansas; and her great grandchildren, Ady, Ainsley Phillips, Alexander, Jack Perdue, Connor, Gavin Showalter, Brecken and Maddox Reiswig.
In lieu of flowers, Lorraine requested that contributions be made to Westview Baptist Church, a place that held a special place in her heart.
