Kurtis Tabor Obituary
Derby - Tabor, Kurtis Detrell, passed away Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at the age of 27. He was born December 14th, 1994 to Peter Tabor and Debra (Werre) Tabor in Frankfurt, Germany. His goofy smile and fun-loving personality filled the Tabor home with constant giggles.
He loved beings Kenyon's big brother. He was so proud of him and so grateful for his friendship. He learned his love of shopping and shoes from his Dad and looked to his Mom to keep him grounded and inspired.
He valued his friends as siblings, and they were an extension of the Tabor family. In 2007 as just a 7th grader, Kurtis met his best friend and love of his life Josie and in 2016 they had their precious Karina. His "girls" were his world, and nothing filled his heart like family time.
This last year he turned his love of cars into a career when he joined the Midwest Kia family. While his life was cut short way too soon, Kurtis brought so many laughs and so much love to his friends and family. His noisy banter and sarcastic sense of humor and intense passion ensured that everyone he met was left with a smile.
He loved the Phoenix Suns, video games, movies, music, comedies, and a good debate. Kurtis was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Curtis Werre & paternal grandmother, Louise Tabor. Kurtis is survived by his parents: Pete & Deb Tabor of Derby; brother, Kenyon Tabor of Derby; Fiance': Josie Jimenez of Derby; daughter, Karina Tabor of Derby; grandmother: Peggy Walvatne of Fargo, ND; numerous other relatives & friends.
