With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Brownlee of Derby, Kansas, born in Windthorst, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 11, 2023 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerald Brownlee to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Brownlee and Kathleen Brownlee; his wife Donna Louise Brownlee; and his brother Bill. He is survived by: his brother Leonard Brownlee; and his stepchildren, Les Burns (Mary Ann) of Littleton Colorado, Kevin Dunham (Rhonda) of Derby and Donna Kay Hornbeck (Doug) of Melvern. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 26 great grand children, and 7 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Derby Senior Center or Derby Public Library.

“Big Gerald was a great neighbour of ours when he farmed east of Bowsman, MB Canada. He often visited our farm for coffee and enjoyed golfing and playing ball with us. I was a fairly mischievous young boy and one time he hung me up in a tree by my coat. He was a very good family friend and we had lots of fun together. Sincere condolences to his family.”
