She was predeceased by: her husband Duane Gates; and her siblings, Irene, Maxine, Galen and Delmar.
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Gates (Tammie), Jeff Gates (Mike Moran) and Rod Gates (Kim); her grandchildren, Zach Thrush (Danielle), Jared Gates, Dylan Gates, Tyler Gates, Andy Gates, Ashley Forbes (Bob), Skyler Gates Moran, Tobyn Thrush and Brecken Thrush; and also Virginia.
