She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Welch and Trula Welch (Moody); her son Robert Ellis; and her brothers, Bob Welch and Lonnie Kilgore.

She is survived by: her children, James "Jim" Ellis, Jr. (Ginnie), Lawrence, Linda Sue Conrad and De Soto. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary (120 W 13th St, Lawrence, KS 66044).
