She was predeceased by: her parents, Verner Elroy and Ethel Mary Briggs (Hester); and her siblings, William, Lester, Patty and Bernice.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Wayne Nichols, Sr.; and her children, Charles Wayne Nichols, Jr. (Tammy), Cathy Lynn Haub (Nathan), David Alan Nichols (Angie) and Stephen Ward Nichols (Elaine). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
