He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry and Frances M. Shippen (Moritz) of Danville, Kansas.; his wife Ruth Ellen (Tasset); his brother David; and his great grandchild Ryan Grace Hampel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Suzi Shippen (Bob Wagner), Terri Shippen (Jeff Houk) and Pattie Drake (Rob Drake); his sisters, Catherine Shippen and Harriett Fox; and his grandchildren, Matthew Hampel (Heather Hampel), Clayton Kimberlin (Tiffany Kimberlin), Hannah Fuentes (Micheal Fuentes), Ben, Maggie Laurhammer, Harrison Drake (Jennifer Drake) and Madeline Drake (Brendan O'Niel).
