He is survived by: his wife Mary Avis Jones of Bogue; his children, Dorinda Bailey (Daniel), Joletta Boyer (Ken), Curt Hamel (Kelly) and Gregory Hamel (Tanya); and his siblings, Ronald Hamel, Alvin Hamel, Tina Bobek of Plainville, Dorothy Staab (Bob) of Plainville and Kayleen Lamb (Danny) of Plainville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
