With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elmer Charles Freund of Cunningham, Kansas, born in Nashville, Kansas, who passed away on August 29, 2021 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, F. M. Freund and Marie Freund (Gorges); and his sisters, Joann Moore and Margaret Turner. He is survived by: his wife Johnna Freund (Cooley); his children, Cindy Gibbs (Danny) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Nancy Weglarz (Stan) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee and Jay Freund (Erin) of Bloomington, Indiana; his grandchildren, Loren King, Laslee, Isaac King, Sophia Freund, Graham Freund and Alec Freund; and his siblings, Eugene Freund (Clara) of Nashville, Richard Freund (Rose Mary) of Cunningham and Emma Jane Reif (Marvin) of Colwich.

Memorials may be made to West Kingman County Education Foundation Class of 1955 Scholarship, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Cunningham Christian Church in care of Larrison Mortuary.
