He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Kelly and Charlotte "Lottie" M. Kelly (Gwin); his daughters, Kathleen Kelly (Dickerson) and Margaret A. Swartz; and his brother Don Kelly.
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly L. Kelly of Hutchinson and James R. "Jim" Kelly Jr. (Camille) of Strong City; his grandchildren, Kathleen "Nikki" Swearingin (Daniel), Daniel Elliott, Cody Kelly (Jessica), Cory Kelly (Cassidy), Chelsea Kelly and Wayne Arnold; and his sister Faith. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
