He is survived by: his wife Iva Lou; his children, Mickey Birney (Alicia) of Ellsworth, Scotty Birney (Kelly) of Garden City, Lorrie Ortiz (Oscar) of Overland Park and Lindie Andreas of Copeland; his daughter-in-law Tammi Birney of Sedgwick; and his brothers, Larry Birney of Copeland, Michael Birney of Dodge City and Neil Birney of Anderson. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren.
