With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Schmidt of Copeland, Kansas, who passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace Schmidt and Bertha Yost Schmidt. He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Donna) of Hiawatha, Kansas and Everett (Ann) of Los Lunas; his wife Betty; his siblings, Vera (Raymond Withers), Clinton of Grant, Nebraska, JoAnn Schmidt of Montezuma, Kansas and Phyllis (Irv Bissell) of Woodburn, Oregon.; and also Betty Jean Smith of Winton. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
