He was predeceased by: his brother Duane Phipps. He is survived by: his wife Lorene of Concordia, KS; his daughters, Connie Pickens (Randy), Jeri Nielsen (Shawn) and Tooele; his sister Jacque Porter of Newton, KS; and his grandchildren, Kim Woods, Carri Pickens (Jason Swain), Megan Chartier and Taylor Nielsen (Gretchen). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Harry Hynes Hospice of Newton, Kansas or to the Rebecca A. Morrison House of Salina, Kansas in care of the funeral home.
