He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Swihart, Sr. and Betty Swihart (Boling); his son Kurtis; and his siblings, Pauline Cyr (Gail), Mike Swihart and Sue Nelson (Richard).
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Girard; his children, Lisa (Dallas Hasenbank) of Concordia, KS, Brad Swihart (Deanna) of Concordia, KS, Butch Swihart (Jennifer) of Clay Center, KS, Christina Henderson (Scot) of Concordia, KS and Phillip Swihart (Crystal) of Baldwin, KS; his brother Arlan Swihart (Carla) of Bushland, TX; his sister-in-law Jolene Swihart of Concordia, KS; and his aunt Shirley Swihart of Novada, CA. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
