It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle Dyson (Concordia, Kansas), who passed away on October 17, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lyle Dyson to pay them a last tribute.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Dyson (Leslie), Bruce Dyson (Pam), Kendra Albin (Steve) and Lynette Murphy (Dan); and his sister Eula Lee Anderson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
One of his favorite songs, God Bless America Again, describes his patriotism best: "You know I don't understand everything I'm reading here – About what's wrong with America – But when you don't have a lotta book learnin' – I guess there's a lot of things you don't understand – But let me say this, God, she's like a mother to me – And all I am or ever hoped to be I owe to you and her – Wash her pretty face, dry her eyes and then – God bless America again." In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Legion Post #76 for the Avenue of Flags and the Salina Church of Christ, or in care of the funeral home.
