He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Mark Ernest and Jane Gale (Boyd); his sister Nancy Smith; his brother-in-law Richard Smith; and his great-niece Lydia Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Williams; his daughters, Nicki Gale-Youngberg (Christopher) of Fergus Falls, MN and Nanci Wilson (Mark) of Minto, ND; the mother of his children Terri Shugrue (Tim) of Callahan, FL; his grandsons, Cooper Wilson and Weston Youngberg; his nephews, Rich Smith of Topeka, KS and Rob Smith (Janelle) of Henderson, TX; and his niece Pam Clark (Brad) of Meriden, KS..
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Cloud County Community College Athletic Department in care of the funeral home.
