He was predeceased by: his parents, John Eakins and Joyce Eakins (Shrader); his sister LeAnn Bridges; and his nephew Bryan Runyan. He is survived by: his wife Wenxia Eakins of Concordia, KS; his children, Kristina Eakins of Topeka, KS, Cory Eakins (Carrie) of Clyde, KS and Tony Eakins of Concordia, KS; his stepdaughter Zui Holloman (Matthew) of Topeka, KS; his siblings, Jay Eakins of Bentonville, AR., Cheryl Tira (Tom) of Columbus, NE. and Dawn Steinman (Albert) of Chester, NE.; his brother-in-law Ed Bridges of Richland, WA; and his grandchildren, Cora, Cate, Shaeleigh, Carter, Warric, Ember Eakins and Everleigh Holloman.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
