He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Albert Johnson and Anna Marie Johnson (Forsling); his wife Jean; his daughter Lynnette Hamel (Johnson); his son-in-law Jim Hamel; and his siblings, Perry Johnson, Clayton Johnson, Melvin Johnson, Floyd Johnson, Alma Wright (Johnson), Ida Lucille Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Leanna Johnson, Leo Johnson and Treva Jorend (Johnson).
He is survived by: his sister Victoria Roberts (Johnson); his sister-in-law Ila Johnson; his children, Kim Oatney Waterville (Jim) and Kevin Johnson Concordia (Sheri); and his grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Ashleigh Johnson of Tulsa, OK, Kelsey Hamel, Shawnee and Addison Johnson Lopez (Daniel). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
