We bid farewell to Donald Dean of Concordia, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 30, 2025 at the age of 76. Donald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry and Eva A. Dean, Sr. (Mahan); his wife Carol Sue Frye; his sons, Travis Judd Dean and Justin Dean; and his siblings, Robert H. Dean, Jr., Carolyn Perkins, Gloria Dean and Phyllis Gross.
He is survived by: his daughter Kristin Sue Halfhide of Concordia, KS; his daughter-in-law Angela Decoster of Chanute, KS; his grandchildren, Zachary Dean (Kayla), Mikaela Dean (Shane), Kaylee Halfhide and Aivree Halfhide; and his great grandchildren, Weston Dean and Adrian Halfhide-Sterling. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home (325 W 6th St, Concordia, KS 66901). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
