He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis M. Mendenhall and Dorothy Mendenhall (Yoder); his son Kevin Mendenhall; his son-in-law Greg Collette; and his siblings, Marion Mendenhall, Dorothy Glisson, Almeda Clingman, JoAnn McCartney, Isabel Oliver and Carolyn L. Mendenhall.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn of Concordia; his daughters, Sheila Crough, Cathy Volk (JD), Battle Creek and Lisa Sorell (Randy); and his sisters, Ella Maggard (Joe), Lelah Kroulik and Charlotte Courtney (Earl). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
